Green Transportation

There are lots of ways to make the journies to and from your wedding a little bit greener

Vintage Wedding Transportation

Walk to your wedding ceremony, arrive on horseback, tandem or cycle rickshaw, or make a statement in a hybrid car!

Save on transport and hold your ceremony and reception at the same venue or within walking distance of each other. If this isn't possible, bus everyone from the ceremony to the reception together.

Arrange for your guests to stay in one place like a holiday complex or hotel nearby and hire a charabang to move them from one location to another. Getting a bus to take them all home at the end of the party saves on traffic congestion at your wedding venue and means all your guests can relax and enjoy a glass or two.

If your friends and family are dispersed around the world, its inevitable that they will want to fly over for your wedding. You could offset the accumulated air miles by sponsoring a tree planting programme on their behalf or ask them to dedicate tree as your wedding gift.

When you send out your invitations, its helpful to give details of public transport and taxi services. If you're having a destination wedding in the country and most of your guests are travelling to it, the party could begin at the departure railway station - suggest a train time and arrange to have all your guests collected from the arrival station by a minibus.

If you and your guests are travelling from afar for the wedding, you may like to consider calculating your carbon footprint and offsetting your CO2 emmissions through a carbon offset scheme.
