Style and Atmosphere
Formal or informal, urban or rural, indoors or out - most couples will start with an idea of the mood they would like to achieve on their wedding day.
These ideas will form the basis of all your decisions about the venue and decorations, how many guests you want to invite, what sort of food to serve, what to drink and the style of the wedding cake. Your theme or style will be dictated by your budget, your taste and also your dreams.
There are so many ways to personalise your special day that its wise to try and aim to create an original and holistic theme that brings beauty and joy to even the smallest event.
Sources of inspiration could be the time of the year. The seasons can suggest colour - harvest brings gorgeous golds and burnt oranges while spring ushers in crisp blues and yellows. Christmas means rich reds and shiny metallics or cool whites and summer shows fragrant lavenders, pinks and voluptuous crimsons.
Other ideas can originate from the style of your chosen venue, the countryside, your favourite holiday spot or where he proposed. It may be a perfume or a book, the fabric of your gown or where you grew up. Whatever you decide will also dictate your choice of food, drink and entertainment for the celebrations.
We often post seasonally inspired styling and decorating ideas on our news pages, so visit us often for new inspiration, or sign up to our newsletter and receive regular bulletins.
