Eco/Ethical Ethos (personal and professional): Mine is always a glass half full. I appreciate the simple pleasures in life. I endeavour to hold the principle of non-violence at the heart of my actions. Respect and compassion for other living beings is fundamental for our own well-being and as well as that of our Planet Earth. I believe it is important to give back and to this end I carry out pro bono documentary photography for the Sustainable Food Trust. I also work as a volunteer advocate for looked-after children.

How Green is your Supplier?

How Green is your Supplier?

So we've put together a ten point criteria, the Green Gauge, that we ask all our partners, your wedding suppliers, to comply with for your peace of mind. The wedding industry covers a broad activity base and you will have your own benchmark of how 'green' you want your suppliers to be. We happily accept wedding suppliers who are trying their best and can check 4 or more criteria on our Green Gauge.

For me, it’s all about emotions. They are the heart of every part of my work.

The strength of feelings experienced on a wedding day is beyond compare. Wedding photography for me is all about capturing these. My natural relaxed style allows me provide you with the opportunity to re-live the myriad of emotions which can sometimes pass by in a whirlwind on the day itself.

I shoot weddings in a documentary photography style, often known as reportage wedding photography. Wedding photographers with this style aim to capture events in natural, unobtrusive ways, immortalising the key emotional moments of your day so that you can treasure the memories of those feelings.

As as female wedding photographer, the documentary style perfectly complements my core interests of human interaction and emotion, as well as telling stories. I love to look beyond the surface to understand the emotion beneath. Such empathy is fundamental not only to my work but to my whole life.

Whilst the most important parts of your wedding day for a traditional photographer might be key events such as the signing of the register or family portraits after the vows, a natural style of wedding photography will focus on spontaneous moments, or images that paint the wider picture of the emotions of the day. My focus is always on capturing authentic moments - I call it honest wedding photography.

Quality wedding pictures really are “worth more than words”.

“We absolutely love them! So many precious memories to look back on. Thanks again for capturing our day so beautifully.”

“WOW!!!  What can we say! Thank you so so much! You've managed to capture some of those fleeting moments that are so important and tell so much. I know they are also photos that both our families will love and cherish.”
