The Wellbeing Farm certainly is no ordinary wedding venue

We specialise in stress-free relaxed, fun, quirky, magical weddings, where everything from the food and styling, to the entertainment, can be tailored to suit and support you. Our farm is hired exclusively, so your special day is fully yours.

The farm is located in the stunning Lancashire moorlands, and is the perfect country chic venue for you to create a unique wedding experience that will reflect your unique and creative personalities. We can hold up to 170 guests for the ceremony, and up to 300 for the evening reception.

We’re perfect for those who want a Pinterest-style Barn wedding, but don’t have the time or resources to fully transform a venue. In the hire price, we provide a fantastic and extensive range of props for you to use, which are great for creating fabulous photographs. If you want that dreamy outdoor wedding, we have a large, pristine lawn area which is fully licensed for marriages.

On the farm there’s a tipi with a smokeless fire, a horsebox bar, a fire-pit, and even a llama themed boudoir...

You can also hire our spectacular off-location Wedding House, including its own lake, forest, and tennis court.

Even our animals like to get in on the fun! So, if you have always dreamt of having llamas, alpacas, and donkeys in your wedding photos, we can do that.

It would be wrong of us to put the word ‘Wellbeing’ in our name if we didn’t also care about the wellbeing of the planet. Sustainability is one of the cornerstones our business was built upon, so we make sure to be environmentally conscious in everything that we do.

For instance, we have our very own wind turbine! It supplies clean energy to the entirety of the farm. Food miles stay low as all meats are locally sourced from our own family butchers and we even rear our own Wheatsheaf Farm lamb. Polytunnels around the farm are used to grow edible flowers to decorate the meals with!

Any food waste is collected and turned into fertiliser, we recycle as much as we can and have banned single-use plastic.

We have an on-site Prop Store which is just like an Aladdin’s Cave with everything you need to transform the Barn into your personalised Pinterest vision. This means no unnecessary hire charges or purchases for you.

We do try and reduce unnecessary paper and have made all our contracts, documentation and brochures online – this saves printing, reduces paper and makes the process quicker for everyone.

We’ve also been awarded a Green Tourism Gold Award!

Wednesday 2nd February 2022 saw The Wellbeing Farm wedding venue, Edgworth crowned the Winner of the Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable category at the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2021. The awards celebrate excellence across a wide range of visitor economy businesses, revealing the brightest and best stars working in Lancashire tourism today.

The Wellbeing Farm was recognised for its commitment to being sustainable, responsible and ethical in how they operate and interact with customers, the wider community and the environment. The farm which is powered by a wind turbine has been working on sustainability since it opened in 2013 and last year produced a dedicated sustainability website that highlighted work done towards each of the 12 Sustainable Development Goals.

Celia Gaze, Founder and Managing Director of The Wellbeing Farm says:

“During lockdown, we decided to really focus on our sustainability work and the time spent is paying off. Having represented independent hospitality businesses at a special fringe event at COP26 in Glasgow last year, winning an award in this category is an important achievement”.

The Wellbeing Farm will now have the opportunity to represent Lancashire in the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2022.
