Pentillie Castle and Estate Cornwall

Pentillie Castle and Estate Cornwall

Something Old.

Just occasionally, a vision or an atmosphere can transform your mood, and on approaching Pentillie Castle the long sweeping drive, and the suspense of the hidden gem made me feel like I was in a movie.

I would  be in a horse drawn carriage wearing cream lace gloves with a leather bound book in my lap.

Pentillie then comes into view and it doesn't disappoint. It is beautifully set in 2,000 acres of Cornwalls finest countryside, with river views and devine classical gardens

You will be seduced by her beauty and her natural splendour and you will want to stay a while and explore all her magical layers.

Something new.

Inside everything is very relaxed and informal with sumptious interiors and a feeling that says enjoy and make yourself at home.

There is a wicker basket full of fresh new slippers on the stairs so that you leave the Cornish mud on your walking boots and not on their sumptious cream carpets.

In the winter there are logs for the two fireplaces where your guests can mingle and relax and as the sun goes down the doors open onto the terrace and a view that is forever changing.

The soundtrack is one of bird song and laughter as your guests will feel relaxed and seduced by the beautiful surroundings and there will be many ooh's and ahh's  and photos taken as they will all want to re-live the splendour and the moment.

Something borrowed.

But more than anything  Pentillie is your home for your wedding and you will feel very relaxed popping down to the Aga warm kitchen in your PJ s and slippers to make yourself a a hot chocolate to help your excitment melt into sleep.

Your room will be a buzz of excitment in the morning and luckily all the rooms are large enough to handle a full wedding crew but if you need anything we are there as backup for those unexpected last minute needs such as asprin for bridesmaids and spare reading glasses for Granny!

Something blue

They have the most spectacular, beautiful back drop for wedding photography with the blue of the Rivar Tamar in the distance and the exquisite grounds and gardens that are in bloom all year.

There is a walled swimming pool for your guests so in the summer you might need to include that on your wedding invitation  "please bring cossy! "
