It will all be rounded off with a cream tea in the farmhouse kitchen with an opportunity to meet with us for any individual questions.

Middle Coombe Farm was one of the first woodland weekend wedding venues in the country and offers couples an exclusive, private and unique setting. At the heart of the 200 acres of private woodland there is an ancient oak tree ceremony site, providing the perfect natural setting for blessings & hand fasting celebrations. The traditional cider barn is also licensed for legal wedding ceremonies. In addition to this there is accommodation for up to 20 people in the grade II* listed farmhouse and Allensdown Barn both of which boasts a 4 Star rating from Enjoy England and includes a swimming pool and hot tub.

The Farmhouse, Allensdown Barn and Cider Barn are available for private hire throughout the year for personal celebrations – whether a significant birthday, a hen party or simply getting all the family together Middle Coombe farm offers all the benefits of a rural secluded retreat with Exmoor on the doorstep. The cider barn and farmhouse are also used for retreats including yoga and music.
The team at Middle Coombe Farm are led by Angela, Tim and Clydie who together have over 20 years’ experience in hospitality and have also helped over 110 couples to plan their special day making each one a day to remember. Their wedding album is like no other and pride themselves in personally working with local suppliers to further reduce the impact on the environment.

"I still get goosebumps when I witness couples sharing special moments"

The Middle Coombe Estate has been owned by the Maylon family for 5 decades, and has been likened to a slice of heaven – offering tranquillity, nature and a slower pace of life. The farmhouse is cited in Pevsners Architectural Guides as one of the original buildings of the British Isles. When Tim Maylon inherited it in 1997 he started the business side by offering holiday lets and when he met Angela in 2002 they wanted to share the romance of the Mid-Devon countryside. Angela explains:

"we had always loved visiting Middle Coombe Farm and once we lived here we just knew we wanted to share the romance and offer environmentally responsible accommodation and then weddings without compromising on style and luxury on some of the most important days of a lifetime. I think our success is down to working in harmony with our environment keeping the impact on our surroundings as low as possible and I still get goosebumps when I witness couples sharing special moments"
