INTRODUCING | The Green Wedding Co. | A Carefully Curated Collection of Eco Luxe Wedding Gowns

Rembo Styling Wedding Gown

The thing I love about running Green Union is that I’m always discovering, meeting and working with wedding suppliers who really care, not only about their clients, but about their business ethics, and when I stumble on new companies on the inter-web it’s always really exciting finding out what they do.

The Green Wedding Co. is one of these and we met through Instagram!  From the start this brand new start up bridal boutique in Macclesfield founded by Hannah Vincent, has made it their business to curate a stylish and sustainable collection of wedding dresses that have been carefully chosen, from around the world, for their style and fit as well as the designer’s ethos.

Celia Grace

The fabrics that are used in the free spirited and fairtrade Celia Grace gowns are hand loomed using natural fibres or come from small batch textiles and The Green Wedding Co. is the sole UK stockist of these lovely ethical wedding dresses. TGWC chose Celia Grace in the knowledge that the women who make the wedding gowns have been paid a fair wage and work in a safe and creative environment.  The collection is stylishly youthful and so easy to wear.

Sanyuka Shrestha

London based pioneer of eco-luxe bridal fashion and creates a stunning range of ethical wedding gowns using fabrics that are hand woven from hand spun yarns.  All the gowns are hand made and hand embellished.  The range is naturally exclusive and unique while the ethical and ecological aspect of the collection by no means compromises the style.  Choosing a Shanykta Shrestha wedding gown means traditional Nepalese textile skills are kept alive while Nepalese women earn an independent living.  The collection is elegant and flattering to a variety of body shapes, and the fabrics feel luxurious on your skin, you won't want to take your dress off!

Rembo Styling

TGWC chose Rembo Styling, a Belgian based atelier, for their stunning on-trend relaxed collection made in Europe with complete control of their production lines. The gowns are so versatile that any wedding dress would look fabulous styled with everyday accessories like a leather jacket, a warm coat for a winter wedding, or sparkly flip flops for a beach affair! Beautiful boho wedding dresses.

Bridesmaids, Flower Girls & Accessories

Hannah also lovingly hand makes unique bridesmaid and adorable flower girl dresses from and range of vintage, sustainable and fair trade fabrics and is also sourcing some beautiful accessories like ethical and fair trade cashmere knits from Mongolia, hand dyed organic silk and bamboo ribbon and silk flower crowns made in the UK, a collection of hand made millinery and belts and, last but not least bridal veils created from organic and vintage fabric by local artisans.

The other thing I love about Hannah is that she has chosen to showcase these beautiful wedding gowns on REAL WOMEN so we don't have to imagine what the dresses will fit on the likes of you and I - and they look stunning!

Well worth a trip to Macclesfield to my mind!
