A heartfelt country house weddingTweet
When Zoe Marsden and Rufus Glyn got married in Wimbourne, Dorset, they asked Emma Stoner to photograph the day for them and what a day it was! After a heartfelt ceremony at the local church the wedding party moved on to a reception hosted by Rufus's father, Sir Richard Glyn at the family home, Gaunts Estate.
The couple live in a cottage on the Estate where the family runs a community offering a range of activities: festivals, spiritual workshops and even a 'wild-skills' youth programme. Weddings are not normally held here but Honeybrook Farm may be hired as a venue.
Emma said that it was great to be able to make such a unique family home a central feature of Rufus and Zoe's wedding day photos as each room had a different story to tell. Artwork from a recent competition held at the house was still hanging in the girls' room where Zoe was getting ready, providing a colourful backdrop for the preparation shots.
The guests mingled in the library and the couple enjoyed their 'first dance' in the ballroom, a fantastic old room where the walls are clad in family portraits and the ceilings drip with chandeliers while the garden played host to a bevy of tiny beauties playing hide and seek!
