Inspired by the selfless dedication towards the safety of people’s lives, the award-winning designer Sanyukta Shrestha is taking an initiative to help keyworkers who are risking their lives to fight Coronavirus by treating them to a Special Keyworker Bridal Package when these gloomy days are over.

INSPIRATION - A Rainbow of Hope: Colourful Wedding Dress Ideas from Ethical Wedding Dress Designer, Sanyukta Shrestha, Who Has Made a Special Pledge to All Engaged Keyworkers Fighting the Covid-19 Pandemic Sanyukta has made the following pledge:

“Staying home is staying safe and saving lives; as civilians, we are doing our parts diligently and with discipline, but we feel we can also provide our skills and expertise to help these brave front line workers when these gloomy days are over. They are taking care of us, so we should also do our best to show our appreciation and support.

The Special Keyworker Bridal Package offers a free appointment service, 25% off wedding gowns from all collections including bespoke gowns, and a £200 gift voucher towards a veil*.

These key workers who have placed their duty first to serve the people and community, with gratitude we have already started making reusable hundreds of face masks as per CDC guidelines and will be voluntarily distributing to key workers as an appreciation for their bravery and contribution to the community."

As an optimistic and sustainable company, they have always seen light in dark tunnels and strongly believe in the power of kindness and a positive spirit. Caring for the planet has been the DNA of the ethical brand and this naturally extends to the amazing frontline keyworkers working tirelessly through these unprecedented days. As a small ethical business, they salute their sacrifice and dedication and are equally committed to making their dream wedding come true in the near future.

And what better inspiration than this beautiful shoot for the 2020 colour collection, captured prior to the outbreak featuring real couple, Charlotte and Jack, who both work on the NHS frontline. As Sanyukta says:

“This is a difficult time for all of us, but we want to share our positivity and hope in colours. This is a promise to all of our new brides, that it takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow. We believe THIS STORM WILL PASS AND THEN THE RAINBOW WILL EMERGE”.

Which colour will you dream in?

Inspired by the selfless dedication of the brave NHS and the Key Workers fighting Covid-19 Pandemic in the UK, Sanyukta is contributing her skills to support both the NHS as well as the vulnerable communities in her home country, Nepal.

Putting fashion to the service of the greater good, she has teamed up with seamstresses across England to make masks and PPE visors:

"The shortage of PPE has hit the UK, and as visors are one of the most essential protective equipment for frontline medical staff, and crucially important for the NHS during their shifts, we had to step forward to use of our craft skills to make these most needed equipment’s available."

Alongside PPE Visors, the team is making masks for keyworkers from 3 layers of 100% breathable cotton fabrics (as per CDC guidelines), including in some the option to add an extra layer of filter protection, nose grip and detachable eye protection:

“By staying home, we are saving lives. As civilians, we are doing our parts diligently, but we felt strongly that we need to use our skills to support our doctors, nurses, medical staff and key workers who are risking their lives to protect our lives and the lives of millions all over the country. It has not been easy sourcing material during this lockdown however along with our team we have tried our best to take our own initiative to give back to these brave warriors by using our skills and resources."

The Ethical designer’s team in Nepal is also working on the ‘Nepal Covid-19 project’, with nearly a thousand of masks already made while staying at home, following strict hygiene & social distancing rules during lockdown. The team’s efforts have already brought smiles on the vulnerable community providing special masks and essential food supplies, like ‘Aamako Ghar’ which shelters homeless elderly women & orphans (since 1999 in Kathmandu):

“By protecting the most vulnerable communities, we could help to protect the frontline doctors & nurses and minimise the possible collapse of the country’s health centres and hospitals due to the sudden increase in the Curve. So, our main focus in Nepal is the most vulnerable communities first, starting from the Care centres for homeless elderly people.”
