WEDDING FAVOUR INSPIRATION - Edible Autumn Wedding Favour Ideas To Fall In Love With!

18th September 2019

Wedding favours are a great way to thank your guests on their way out the door, and while some traditional favours have a reputation for ending up left behind (or in the trash), these edible wedding favour ideas are sure to get gobbled up instead!

Autumn LeavesAs more couples are embracing green weddings and cutting down on waste, edible wedding favours can be a great alternative to a conventional plastic favour that gets shipped in. Some best practices to make your edible favours more sustainable include buying ingredients from local vendors and farms, serving favours in recycled packaging such as mason jars, and encouraging any accompanying waste to be recycled after use.

Here are some of our favourite edible favour ideas - and as autumn wedding season is officially upon us, we’ve selected some of our favourites that are full of rich fall flavours.

Sweetie pie pie pops: Thank your sweetie pies for coming by with mini pies on a stick made of your favourite fall flavours such as apple or pumpkin.

Hole lotta love donut holes: If you’re a fan of glaze and dough, or Led Zeppelin, you’ll love these donut desserts. Your guests can eat these as a late-night snack or as breakfast fuel the next morning.

Baked with love baguettes: Who doesn’t love a fresh, warm garlic and rosemary bread loaf? These baguettes are not only delicious, they’ll also help soak up the effects from your open bar and double as a picture perfect moment.

Olive ya olive oil: These olive oil wedding favours are infused with love. Tell guests I love ya by serving these take home jars. Extra virgin olive oil will get you the best quality, and depending on where your ceremony is being held, you may be able to purchase the oil from a nearby farm.

Love is brewing tea leaves: Make homemade bags full of your favourite herbs and spices. You can experiment with ingredients to find the perfect blend of aromatic and rejuvenating tea leaves, and then send these jars home with your guests to steep.

Apple-y ever after apple cider: This take-home cider kit is full of warm fall spices and doubles as an easy DIY. All you need is cinnamon sticks, apple cider packets (or a gourmet blend), and mixing instructions.
