INSPIRATION - A Herb-Infused Styled Shoot at Gaynes Park, Captured by Cristina Rossi Photography

1st May 2019

Today, I have a treat for the senses for you - you can almost smell the fragrant herbs in the sunshine of this styled shoot in the glorious setting of Gaynes Park, Essex!

Potted plants are a great eco-friendly option as they can have a life well beyond the wedding day itself. Herbs have the added advantage of being edible - imagine sprinkling a little fresh parsley on your started, or rosemary on you main course?! The table styling centred on potted herbs, with vintage glass bottles of flowers for extra colour, and a ‘runner’ of pure white garden gravel as a bright highlight. Each place setting was given a tiny bunch of mixed herbs and flowers to accompany the slate place names .

The table name also included a watercolour illustration to elevate the organic feel of the suite.

In this case, olive leaf, thlaspi (AKA penny-cress), lavender, calendula, chamomile daisies, dill, and mentha were used. Many of these were also made into leaf and colourful petal confetti.

Amy truly rocked the ‘Stevie’ dress by Chantel Lauren. Amy's makeup was kept naturally fresh with a subtle smokey eye. Her hair was styled in loose waves with a chunky Dutch braid to form a soft, romantic half-up style. An exquisite Swarovski crystal and pearl hairvine on gold plated wiring completed the boho luxe look.
