10th May 2019

Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” John Ruskin

Be prepared for every meteorological eventuality on your outdoor wedding day for the handy guide from GREEN UNION partners, Stunning Tents, and Rosie at Brolly Bucket (an ingenious service which hires umbrellas, blankets, hay bale covers and cushions for maximum wedding day comfort for all your guests).

It is highly recommended that given the unpredictability of the English weather, you plan for all possibilities at any time of year. Rain on your event day can really put a damper (excuse the pun) on things – if you let it! Brolly Bucket’s online hire shop offers a stylish selection of umbrellas, in keeping with your theme and/or colour scheme; The Big Day Package is extremely popular for teepee weddings! Click here to view.

And don't forget some wellies!

Heatwave

A couple of cost effective, fun touches to add to your event would be a hamper of foam flip flops for guests at the edge of the dance floor, or a basket of low-cost sunglasses for guests heading outside the tent. Don't forget to include plenty of shady options, especially if you're in the middle of a field!

Another great option, sure to be a big hit with all of your guests, would be an ice cream van or gelato stand, or even a paddling pool!

Snow

Snow can also create a magical photo opportunity – just remember to bring a faux fur wrap and blankets to keep warm, and two pairs of cute matching wellies for the bride & groom!
