INSPIRATION - Intimate Summer Wedding Styling At The Temple Of Minerva In The Botanical Gardens Of Bath's Victoria Park, Captured By Freya Steele PhotographyAs we all gently edged our way out of lockdown, a small team seized upon the new freedom to create a mini styled shoot at the beautiful Temple of Minerva, based in the Botanical Gardens of Victoria Park in the glorious city of Bath.

With Covid-19 still very much on everyone's minds, they were all trying to find new ways of working. In just 48 hours, a colourful scheme was pulled together by stylist, Chloe Kennedy. She was fortunate to find photographer Freya Steele, whose images perfectly capture the light and airy atmosphere of the folly, and the beauty of its surroundings. With the recent changes to weddings, Chloe was conscious of keeping the styling appropriate for an intimate celebration. Throughout she utilised props available to hire through her business; "I’m passionate about repurposing and sustainability: the majority of my props are vintage or repurposed".

Making An Entrance

Chloe chose a citrus colour palette and complemented this by setting up a homemade lemonade welcome drinks station using her rustic cart and an eclectic mix of floral arrangements in vintage bottles. Opposite, at the entrance to the Temple itself, a stack of rustic crates was heaped with yet more blooms in glassware and stoneware: "I have a slight obsession for vintage coloured glass, nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing it adorn a modern set up. The use of stoneware ink bottles, that date as early as the 1900’s house my locally-sourced sherbet coloured blooms, whilst foraged greenery gave it a just-picked feel."
