Seasonal floral decorations

Now that autumn is well and truly over and all the gorgeous garden flowers have been zapped by the frost its always difficult to know how to decorate a wedding at this time of the year.

Its too early to have a christmas theme so what could one use?

Well there's actually plenty to choose from. Think glossy foliage, crunchy nuts, textured seeds, rich ripe squashes, rosey apples, warm chestnuts, lichen twigs and voluptuous grapes. Combine these with swathes of rich fabrics like velvets and damasks and work up a warm, rich decorative theme based around the old Dutch masters paintings.

Add lots of fairy lights, lanterns and candles to create a warm glow for all your guests on a blustery late autumn day. They'll think it wonderfully imaginative!
