Artists open studios this weekend 1st to 3rd December

Artists and makers are opening their studios this weekend. Go and see what they're making, be inspired and commission a unique wedding gift while sorting out your Christmas shopping list.

Friday 1 December, 12 noon to 8pm
Saturday 2nd December & Sunday 3rd December, 12 noon to 6pm

Makers and artists include jewellers, silversmiths and goldsmiths, fashion and accessories designers (including wedding dresses), textiles, interiors, fine art, furniture makers and other specialist crafts.

Great Western Studios at Westbourne Park, West London are opening their
doors to the public this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday 2nd & 3rd December from 12 noon to 6pm.

There are around 140 people in the studios working in a diverse range of creative areas, which include painting, visual art, sculpture, illustration, architecture, product design, art direction, set design and construction, costume design, fashion and textile design, photography, jewellery, ceramics, stone carving, glass design, printmaking and furniture restoration.

Cheshire Open Studios on 2nd and 3rd December, will showcase 13 artists during their open studios for a special pre-Christmas event from 11am to 4pm on both days.

Artists and makers include jewellers, sculptors, painters and furniture makers all show at their individual studios. Check website for locations.

So if you have a wander about these wonderfully creative spaces you'll be able to find a chic wedding gown, a hat for your mum, some cufflinks for your groom, commission a portrait for posterity, order a matrimonial bed as an heirloom, and discover a sculpture for the garden. You'll be doing your bit to retain these vital skills while contributing to our heritage and supporting small creative businesses in our own country and finding unique works of art - one stop shopping at its eco-chic best!
