An entertaining idea

Storytelling is the ancient art of conveying events in words, images, and sounds often by improvisation or embellishment according to Wikipedia, and stories have probably been shared in every culture and in every land as a means of entertainment, education, preservation of culture and to instill knowledge and values.

National Storytelling Week, which is coming to an end this weekend, has made me think how wonderful if would be to have a local storyteller at your wedding. It conjurs and image of tipi tents, a fire circle and loved ones gathered around listening to a magical tale late into the night. If you've got loads of kids coming and you're stuck for ideas it would be a great way to engage and keep them entertained with fairy tales, folk tales, myths and legends. Keep tradition alive and engage a storyteller for your wedding.

8th National Storeytelling Week 26th January to 2nd February. More information from The Society for Storytelling.
