Behind the Veil: Brides & their DressesTweet
Our East Coast American visitors might be excited to hear that the lovely eco-friendly wedding dress designer Lori del Genis at Conscious Elegance has just let us know that she is participating in an exhibition at the American Textile History Museum in Massachusetts, USA.
Titled Behind the Veil: Brides & their Dresses, it maps the history of bridal gowns through the years.
Besides having one of her ethical wedding gowns in the exhibition, she has also been invited to give a workshop about her work and the ins and outs of creating eco friendly wedding gowns.
Lori said "I might not have mentioned but the museum is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution, which means that I get to say that we have a piece in the Smithsonian. OMG OMG OMG. And we'll be teaching museum-goers about what we do on their Super Saturday Family Day. Because eco-chic is totally IN these days and Green is Gorgeous, I'm so excited!"
When: Saturday, May 4, 2013, 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
What: Workshop on Eco-Friendly Wedding Attire
Who: Lori Del Genis, Director and Dressmaker at Conscious Elegance Handmade Eco Wedding Dresses, discusses creating sustainable and eco-friendly wedding attire.
