Parent problems

Are you having problems seeing eye to eye with your parents over your wedding plans? Do they disapprove of the person you have chosen to marry? Is there a conflict between you and your fiancé's religions? Are they unhappy about your civil partnership?

Would they prefer a traditional, conventional and expensive wedding with their own friends and business colleagues attending, while you prefer the idea of an eco-friendly wedding on a small budget using ethical wedding suppliers in a green wedding venue, maybe a barn dance with your closest friends and family?

Well, a TV production company called TOUCH PRODUCTIONS who specialize in making high-end factual documentaries is looking for you. For more information and to discuss your story in strictest confidence you can email Rosie Bristow rosie@touchproductions.co.uk .

They are developing a documentary program for the BBC that tackles prejudice in the face of race, religion, class or sexual orientation. They are looking for young couples who are soon to tie the knot but whose parents disapprove of their fiancé because of their race, religion, class or sexual orientation and are consequently threatening to boycott their wedding based on their prejudice.

For this particular project, they are looking for couples, aged between 16 and 26, who are struggling to win their parents' approval. Specifically they need to be facing a prejudice from their parents or family. Within this they are hoping to find a gay or lesbian couple who are engaged and are facing prejudice from their parents. Or even just couple's whose parents disapprove of their child's choice to break with tradition and plan a non-religious wedding.

If you think you might be interested in appearing in their program, or if you know someone else who would be keen to participate, then they'd love to talk to you. It seems as though this programme is a serious attempt to tackle prejudice head on and is in a good cause, as opposed to all these other rather fatuous wedding programmes that out there at the moment.

Touch Productions can guarantee the utmost respect and sensitivity in this project and very much look forward to hearing from anyone who is interested. For more information and to dicuss your story in strictest confidence you can email Rosie Bristow rosie@touchproductions.co.uk .
