Vintage wedding in Wales

Vicky and Ads got married on 15th August 2009. They threw a vintage 1920s style wedding at Treowen House, Monmouthshire. Thanks to Rosie Parsons photos, we can see what a brilliant time they had!

Vicky is a hopeless collector of vintage china, wedding stylist and lover of all things 1920's, so it was a given that the wedding had to be decorated with her lovely china and locally grown seasonal flowers. The bride wore an original 1920's flapper dress and she made her own jewellery from recycled vintage jewels.

The house has a feel and look of faded vintage charm and the wedding guests arrived, in the spirit of the day, bedecked in 1920's glamour! The afternoon tea reception boasted cakes home made with organic and free range ingredients supplied by generous friends.

To keep the budget down Vicky and Ads decided that the evening should be a BYO bash but they invested in a brilliant string band that made the dancing go with a swing.

We wish Vicky and Ads a wonderful new life together and thank Rosie Parsons for her fantastic images.

Last word goes to Vicky "Simple ideas like locally sourced food and home grown flowers are a great start and really great fun to plan. I’ve learnt so much in the past 6 months with planning our wedding…….I totally recommend it!"
